I guess I should start out with a little background for you. I was born in Laredo, Texas on November, 23rd, 1959.

I lived in Laredo up until 1990. I moved to Austin, Texas to work for KTBC TV. The time I lived there was a learning experience for me. I had never been away from home. I was alone in a new city with no one to fall back on. Scary and fun at the same time. Writing these words brings back memories of friends and co-workers that I wish I had kept in touch with.

I lived there for four years and was exposed to a lot of great live music. One day, I hope to return to live out my retirement, but that is a long way from now. Those were four of the best years of my life, and worst, but that is a whole other story.

In 1994, I moved to Winchester, Virginia. It is a beautiful small town an hour west of Washington, D.C. I lived there up until 2004 when I moved back to Laredo. I guess things have come full circle. Let's go back to where my love guitars came to be.

I started playing guitar, if you can call it that, in 1976. I bought a Sunburst Hondo II Les Paul copy and started teaching myself to play. I never took lessons and played alone in my room and still do today. It has been a long hard road, but I am finally able to play well enough to be fun.

I don't think I ever set out to be a rock star, I just wanted to play and make music. I never really copied anything note for note, and still can't, but I have my own sound as a result of that.

I have been teaching myself to play acoustic for the last couple of years by memorizing chords and strumming along and singing old hits from the 70's. My rock and roll, some people call it classic rock. When the hell did that happen????

Anyway, I will add more to this later....in the meantime, be well.
